Kevin & Penny
We met in 1996—I worked in the farm supply industry, and Kevin was a customer buying fencing. We started dating in 2006, and were married in 2012. Between us we have 3 kids, and 3 grandkids.
We started putting up shelters at our own ranch in Lincoln, California in 2008. We bought our current property, where we now operate our business, in 2011. We started Long Run Ranch in 2014, and sold our first shelter after only one week! We chose the name Long Run, for several reasons—It took us a long time to get where we are, and we are in it for the "long run." In addition, we both used to run—I now stick to swimming, but Kevin still does a marathon or two.
Together we raise cattle, have goats and dogs, and enjoy trail riding and camping with our two horses. For us the best part of our business is the clients. We get to visit great ranches and meet incredible people! We also support FFA and 4-H, and are both members of Tahoe Cattlemen's Association. I am also a member of Placer-Nevada Cattle Women.
